QUESTION: Do I need to be a good footballer?

QUESTION: Do I need to be a good footballer?

 ANSWER:

No. Lean League is open to everyone, regardless of age, fitness level, or footballing ability.

While some participants may have more experience playing football, overall results are influenced far more by weight loss than by on-field performance.

Lean League is an inclusive and supportive community that welcomes and encourages participants of all abilities.

QUESTION: What happens if I am injured?

QUESTION: What do I need to bring to a weigh and play session?

QUESTION: What do I need to bring to a weigh and play session?

ANSWER:

As with any sporting activity, participation in Lean League sessions carries a risk of injury.

Should an injury occur during a weigh-and-play session, trained first aiders will be available on site to provide immediate assistance.

If you are temporarily unable to participate due to injury, you are still encouraged to attend, complete your weigh-in, attend your press conference and support your team from the side lines, provided it is safe for you to do so.

Your weight loss progress remains an important contribution and may play a decisive role in your team’s overall result.

QUESTION: What do I need to bring to a weigh and play session?

 ANSWER:

At weigh-in, all participants are required to present their completed weekly

Food and Exercise Log.

(You wont score weight loss goals without it!)

To take part in the evening’s physical activity, participants must bring the appropriate equipment for their club. In most cases, this includes:

Suitable footwear

Shin pads
A shirt in your team’s designated colour

Any club-specific requirements will be outlined on each club’s information page.

Above all, we ask that you attend with a positive, respectful, and supportive attitude to help maintain an encouraging environment for all participants.

QUESTION: Does Lean League run year round?

 ANSWER:

Yes! Lean League operates three 16-week seasons each year, with every club running a competitive league and cup format.

The Lean League year culminates in a pre-Christmas final weigh-in, followed by a team draft and annual awards ceremony to recognise and celebrate the achievements of the past year.

Subject to availability within your chosen league, participants may join at any point during the year and are not required to wait for the start of a new season to get involved.
